Visual World

Visual World, also known as the Centre of Greek Sign Language, was founded in 2001 in Thessaloniki, Greece, as one of the country’s first Sign Language schools. Managed predominantly by Deaf professionals using Sign Language as their native language, the organization is dedicated to promoting equal rights, universal accessibility, and Sign Language education for all.
The company provides comprehensive accessibility services, including audiovisual production, live streaming, specialized accessibility equipment, and re-sign.online, the first B2B asynchronous LMS in Greece tailored for corporate Sign Language training and accessibility consulting.
With experience in European and national research and empowerment projects, Visual World collaborates with universities, research centers such as CERTH, and public or private entities. Within project consortia, the organization serves as an expert in Sign Language and accessibility, develops digital educational platforms, creates accessible audiovisual content with Sign Language interpretation, and manages national dissemination and awareness campaigns.
Its team comprises Sign Language and interpretation trainers, certified interpreters, video editors, visual designers, IT specialists, and subtitlers, many of whom actively serve in national and European Deaf advocacy organizations.
